Why Frame?

Why Frame?

Frame is a compliance infrastructure company powering payments for complex, highly regulated industries. We enable businesses to move money with confidence by embedding compliance and payments into a single, intelligent platform. Our ambition is to become the infrastructure layer that regulated businesses rely on to operate, scale, and access services globally.

At Frame, how we build matters as much as what we build. Our values shape how we work, make decisions, and support our merchants. We're headquartered in Los Angeles with a globally distributed team. We're committed to running an inclusive and accessible hiring process. If you need any adjustments along the way, let us know.

Let's solve problems together

The role

We are hiring a Senior Risk Analyst to join the Risk team at Frame. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing fraud and AML risk frameworks across the merchant lifecycle, from onboarding through to in-life transaction monitoring. You will play a key role in building scalable, automated decisioning systems that enable Frame to safely support complex, high-compliance use cases. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, GTM, and Risk to ensure risk is embedded into how we build and operate.

What you'll do

  • Own fraud and AML risk frameworks end to end, building rules, signals, and decisioning logic across onboarding (KYC/KYB), transaction monitoring, and in-life merchant risk. You will work directly with Product and Engineering to embed risk logic into FrameOS workflows, tooling, and capabilities including rules engines, alerts, and case management.

  • Day to day, that means continuously testing and iterating on rules using data to balance approval rates, fraud loss, and operational efficiency, and defining the monitoring triggers, thresholds, and escalation paths that keep the system honest. You will drive data-led decisioning by analyzing transaction data, behavioral signals, and external sources to surface trends and optimization opportunities.

  • A meaningful part of the role is designing tailored risk approaches for complex verticals like gaming, gambling, and financial services where standard approaches fall short. You will also partner with GTM and Compliance to refine merchant onboarding and risk appetite alignment, and consistently look for opportunities to shift manual review toward rule-based or model-driven decisions.

what we require

  • 4 to 8+ years of experience in fraud or AML within payments, fintech, or financial services. You have built and managed fraud and AML rules in production across onboarding and transaction monitoring, and you have a working understanding of fraud typologies (ATO, synthetic identity, merchant fraud, Bust-Out, abuse), AML monitoring, suspicious activity patterns, and KYC/KYB risk signals. You have worked with risk tooling and data providers like Alloy, Sift, Persona, or similar, and you are comfortable with SQL and data analysis as core parts of how you work.

  • Experience applying AI/ML to risk decisioning including rule augmentation, anomaly detection, and prioritization is a strong plus. We care about explainability and measurable outcomes, not just model complexity. You communicate with clarity and precision, can operate in ambiguity, and design solutions from first principles. Experience in regulated verticals like gaming, gambling, or financial services is preferred but not required. This role works closely with Product, Engineering, and Risk, so strong cross-functional collaboration is a must.

you are someone who

Thinks in systems, not just rules. You break complex risk problems into simple, scalable solutions and balance risk, customer experience, and commercial impact in the same breath. You take ownership, move quickly with sound judgment, and care deeply about quality and precision. You are comfortable with ambiguity, happy building from scratch, and you thrive in fast-paced environments where the work is never fully done.

the fun stuff

Life at frame

The way we build at Frame is grounded in our values. Alongside our operating principles, they shape how we work and how we win. We want our people to feel empowered, supported, and challenged, and for that to translate into how we serve our customers.

  • Start with Why - We ensure clarity of purpose before acting, building, or automating.

  • Bias to Action - We take ownership, move quickly, and iterate rather than waiting for perfect answers.

  • Rooted in Integrity - We do the right thing with data, money, partners, and decisions, especially when no one is watching.

  • Be Decent. Be Direct. - We collaborate with respect, clarity, and care, even in disagreement.

  • The Discerning Eye - We care deeply about quality, detail, and craft in how things look, feel, and work.
